9th April - 27th September The Glasgow Boys Exhibition - Kelvingrove Museum The biggest-ever exhibition of work by the group of artists known as the Glasgow Boys with more than 140 works on display. The Glasgow Boys caused a sensation when they held their first major art show in 1885 with their bold use of colour, natural subject matter and use of light.
2nd April - 30th November Wallace & Gromit Presents ... A World of Cracking Ideas - Glasgow Science Centre This fabuoulous interactive exhibition stuffed full of crazy innovation, some amazing examples of ideas to stimulate your creative juices and of course Wallace & Gromit - fun for all the family

July 22nd - 25th: Merchant City Festival The Merchant City Festival presents a programme of film, theatre, comedy, visual arts, street theatre, live music, food and fashion - all taking place amidst the architectural elegance of the Merchant City.

31st July - 1st August: Glasgow Show - Glasgow Green An amazing weekend of family fun packed with top entertainment, interactive attractions, street performers, funfair rides and games.
August 9th - 15th: Piping Live! Glasgow International Piping Festival The Piping Live festival began in 2004 and features some of the biggest names in Scottish and international piping, in outdoor spaces and venues throughout Glasgow.
August 14th: World Pipe Band Championships - Glasgow Green The World Pipe Band Championships is the major event in the piping world and the competition culminates in a spectacular march past of all competitors. Typically, over 5,000 musicians (230 bands) take part from all over the world, including Canada, USA, Australia, Oman and Tokyo.
August 16th - 28th: 2010 Cerebal Palsy European Football Championships - Toryglen Regional Football Centre
August 17th: Blink 182 - SECC
September 5th: Great Scottish Run Each year Glasgow plays host to one of the largest participative events in Scotland - runners can choose between half marathon, 10k or Junior 3k. The race takes runners past some of the city's most famous attractions and will again feature the hugely popular run over Kingston Bridge before finishing in Glasgow Green.
September 16th: Papal Visit - Bellahouston Park In the first Papal Visit to Scotland since 1982, Pope Benedict XVI will celebrate a public Mass at Bellahouston Park, Glasgow.
October 22nd - 24th: Good Food Show - SECC Highlights include celebrity chefs demonstrating their skills in the brand new Supertheatre
November 5th: Glasgow Fireworks - Glasgow Green Glasgow Fireworks is colourful and spectacular display. The event, which is held at Glasgow Green, is set to music and is supported by a high profile programme of entertainment and fun. Glasgow Fireworks offers both the people of Glasgow and visitors to the city a free, safe, family focused evening of entertainment.
